About us
The work of World Without TB (WWTB) is based on the skills and dedication of a number of diverse participants who believe in what the charity's activity could deliver.
Our Board is made up of 8-10 trustees who have experience in both academic and commerical roles in diverse areas including healthcare, finance and digital technology.
In addition to our trustees, we work with a range of volunteers, fundraisers, and clinicians.
Our Scientific Advisor is Amina Jindani MD. FRCP. Amina is the Emeritus Professor of Tuberculosis Therapeutics at St George's, University of London where she coordinates the "International Consortium for Trials of Chemotherapeutics Agents in Tuberculosis", known as "INTERTB". Furthermore, she has been conducting clinical TB trials since the 1960's when she coordinated the first East African/ British Medical Research Council trial of short-course chemotherapy in Africa. This was the first trial which demonstrated that treatment could be reduced to 6 months.
